When I planned the wedding of the bride’s sister in 2002, Danielle had just graduated from college. A decade later, I was delighted to be working with this warm and loving family again.

The custom stationery I designed begins to tell the story of their opulent and whimsical affair.

The groom is all fun, showing off his custom amethyst coat lining; the color shows up in a few unexpected places throughout the day and night.

We orchestrated the unveiling of the day’s best surprise, a muscle car for the wedding day.

The many bridesmaids wore vibrant Wedding Library gowns in different styles.

The setting is a grand old bank building, set amongst the gritty streets of New York City’ Bowery district. We had the invitation enlarged to poster size for the building’s original bank marquee. A distinctive way to greet guests.

The bride’s love of butterflies punctuated the night. The escort cards were posted on folding screen peppered with butterflies while the huppah had them suspended and the cocktail and dinner flowers had them hidden amongst the blooms.

We never miss a chance for a custom cocktail napkin. Emerald was the color of this cocktail hour.

The groom runs a movie studio, so one of his priorities was extraordinary lighting. The lighting effects for ceremony, dinner and dancing were truly theatrical.

Pink suspended lanterns added warmth to the cavernous building.

We helped to capture the feeling of turn-of-the-century New York with vintage table numbers and antiques throughout.

Silk butterflies re-appear as ombre cake décor.

A vintage-style photobooth and props leave guests with a token reminder of their retro-fabulous night.

The bride and groom are thrilled, and so are we.
