Wedding Library Collections Tabletop of the Week
Now that the foliage in Tuxedo Park is changing from a luscious summer green to a fiery autumn orange and red, it’s time to put away the beach dinnerware and to break out the Caskata. We love how Shawn Laughlin’s designs allow you to indulge your whims and to mix and match the various collections.
The foundation of this tabletop is the Leesburg Chains Dinner Plate, the Yorkshire Hedgerow Salad Plate and the Rabbits Canapes. Note that the canapes come in a boxed set of 6, so you can have fun matching the bunnies to your guest’s personality.
Under the dinner plates, we have used two different chargers. The anchor charger is our exclusive White Pearlescent Glass Charger from Turkey. In this shot, you can just see the silver rim that gives this table a touch of elegance. The second charger is Aura by Roost. Each Aura charger is stoneware shaped into organic forms and then fired with an earthy metallic glaze. Each piece exhibits textural nuances and the color will range from gold to dark bronze. The matte glaze will develop a patina with use.
The glassware is from the Octavia Collection by Juliska. The flatware is Gabriella by Match. The napkin is the Wedding Library Collections exclusive Glittered Linen Dinner Napkin.
To light the table, we have used Roost’s Mineral Tea Light Holders. They give off such a rich, golden light that gives every occasion an exquisite glow. Round off the table design with fruits that you have bought from the local farmers market.

With the holidays approaching, we wanted to throw out a few ideas based on activity that we have been seeing on the site.
Match’s Convivio Tableware has been our most popular dinnerware collection. We love the timeless elegance of the pewter and the unsurpassed Italian craftsmanship.

Wedding Library Collections Welcomes Miss Blackbirdy
We are pleased to announce that we are now carrying the Miss Blackbirdy line of housewares. An affordable luxury, Miss Blackbirdy is perfect for everyday use or for those dinner parties when you don’t want to break out the Weimar Porzellan.
Miss Blackbirdy was founded by the Dutch designer Merel Boers. A graduate of the Gerritt Rietveld Academy in Amsterday, her graduation project “A Journey to Miss Blackbirdy’s World” won the prestigious BLVD Fashion Award. Her designs are described as having “a fragile and girlish feeling with a touch of naivety”.
A 5-piece setting can be put together for the price of about $100, perfect for your everyday china. Wedding Library Collections Tabletop of the Week
One of the many delights of being a wedding designer is working with the couple on a table setting that perfectly expresses their personality and captures the elegance of their celebration. With this series of blogs, I want to share with you many of the tabletops that I have created for my clients over the years. Many of the elements you see can be found in the Wedding Library Collections.
With this tabletop, the couple wanted to convey an understated elegance with a muted palette and luxurious finishes. The foundation of the design is our exclusive Pearlescent White Glass Charger imported from Turkey. The charger paired perfectly with Match’s Convivio Dinner Plates and Gabriella Flatware which are handmade in Italy by artisans that keep the old methods alive. To complete the look I used the timelessly elegant Juliska Octavia Stemware and lit the table with the wonderful light produced by Roost’s Mineral and Opal Glass Tealight Holders.
The elegant paperie was designed by the amazing Margot Hallac at Atelier Isabey. We congratulate them on their recent win of an American Graphic Design Award.

We welcome Qualy to the Wedding Library Collections
I discovered the Qualy line of products while on a recent hiking trip to Switzerland. Sitting at a cafe in Wengen, I noticed a squirrel watching me from the window across the street. This small shop carried this wonderful line of environmentally conscious household designs. Manufactured in Thailand from 100% recyclable materials, Qualy combines smart design with a whole lot of whimsy.
When I returned to the States, I could not find these items anywhere, so I decided to carry them myself. My brides love the Sparrow Keyring and the Mrs. Salt & Mr. Pepper Shaker Set and they make popular bridal party gifts. My sons each have a Mini Happle Container on their desks to organize their school materials.
