In October I had the honor of designing two beautiful tables with Christofle silver, crystal and china. Christofle hosted sixty of my favorite wedding peers and friends for a gracious tea in honor of their newly launched registry in the freshly renovated Fontainebleau Room at the St. Regis, New York. Today, a little peek at the first table…
I wanted to create a sophisticated garden table — a hedge with a twist. I built a boxwood hedge in the center of the table with preserved greenery sprigs. Sterling looks so beautiful set against the greens of the table.
The little blossoms tucked into the arrangements are paper whites — a precious winter flower.
I love mixing and matching classic Christofle silver pieces and finding unconventional uses for mint julep cups and revere bowls.
I created little “nooks” in the boxwood hedge where I tucked precious little silver pieces and faux crickets, frogs and candy. I hid little battery-operated lights within the niches to really set off the silver. I love a little surprise at my dinner table!
Stay tuned for a post on the second table I designed and my inspiration! A special thank you to Karen Hill for the beautiful photography, Josh Friedman from Elan Artists for the lovely live music, Design Corral for the invitations and the St. Regis and Christofle for the wonderful party.
